So even though they did 2 ultrasounds last Thursday, they require a 'formal' ultrasound be done in Radiology before they continue with further treatment.
I went today. Colby was unable to get off in time, so my Mom came with me.
It was certainly not the most pleasant of experiences.
The ultrasound tech that I worked with was awful.
He was very uninformative and insensitive.
He did both an ultrasound on my belly, as well as an internal, so I was there quite a while.
He took numerous pictures and measurements, and didn't say anything the whole freakin time.
He was just quiet. It was awful.
I just kept staring at him, ready to scream, JUST SAY SOMETHING!!!
He never even confirmed that there was no heartbeat until we were walking out.
He never turned the screen so that I could see the baby.
He just never said anything. Never explained anything. Just deathly silent.
It was seriously awful.
At this point, I had cried most of my tears out and the guy was making me so mad so I wasn't too emotional.
That technician seriously needs a lesson in handling delicate situations.
The only good thing he did was ask if I wanted a picture at the end.
I got 2.
Later that night, my Dad and Colby gave me a blessing.
When trials come our way, there is always good things that come out of them.
The support of family and friends never ceases to amaze me.
I've had flower and ice cream deliveries, offers for dinner and watching the kids, prayers, hugs, and so much more support that I can never say thank you enough for.
The shock has worn off, and I've started to accept things for what they are.
I'm starting to feel more peace and know that my sweet baby is being cared for in the arms of Jesus.

I'm sorry that tech was uneducated. I'm mad just right along with you. I'm glad you had your mom. I'm positive Colbs would have wanted to be there.
