10 Weeks

Dear Morning Sickness,

As much as I have loved having you around lately.....the first trimester is almost over. You've def been loyal and by my side for the last month. But its time for you to move on and pester some other poor pregnant woman. This is your official 2 weeks notice. I'm sorry, but in 2 weeks, I expect that you will have packed your bags and left. Don't bother trying to stick around. I would just like to part ways peacefully. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Take it easy on me for the next 2 weeks. You're fired.

Sincerely,
your employer
Rachel

Saving Grace

My dear sweet Mother made some of her delicious homemade bread yesterday.
And let me tell you,
YUM.

Best thing I've eaten all month.
Seriously, its the first thing that I can literally sit and eat without having to choke down.

Thank you Mommy.
You just made the next 2 weeks so much more bearable.

Belly

I feel like I'm 'showing' today.
I feel fat.
I think its all in my head.
But I think I will start showing earlier this time.
But really,
my belly is starting to feel big.

9 weeks

The last few days have been very long
I have prob felt at my worst thus far over the last 4-5 days.
But today has been much better.
I had the day off and got some errands done and everything.

And NO, I am not showing yet.
But I wanted some pics of me before I start to show.
That way I'll be able to see how big I get,
and how much weight I need to lose after!!!

I know, hard to believe I'm even pregnant yet. :)

Stress is BAD

Yesterday was a rough day.
I woke up and started getting ready for church,
about half way through,
I got really light-headed.

Like couldn't walk 10 feet without falling over, light-headed.
Blurred vision, headache, kind of light headedness.

I laid down and skipped out on church.

Boo. What a horrible feeling.
I've had a lot of this too.

I don't remember feeling this tired and light headed with Peyton.

We are buying a house and up until this weekend, I hadn't been all that stressed about it.
Just excited.
But Colby has been and by Sat I was starting to feel the pressure too.

I won't go into details, but lets just say I felt stuck in the middle of a conflict,
and that I was trying to make everyone happy,
which always seems to leave you feeling miserable.

So I was stressed out, and what happens when I get stressed out?

Well, I got more sick.
Boo.
I hate stress.
Please go away so I can feel somewhat normal.

8 weeks

I am 8 weeks today.

How my baby's growing:

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways.

Size:
About the size of a kidney bean!

Why is it that when you are at your sickest, some of the most important parts of your baby are forming?

When you want to eat healthy, broccoli and carrots are the last thing on your mind???

It's really too bad....

Thats its only March....

I could go for a nice dose of sunshine and fresh fruit right now.

Ahh....

Hurry up spring!!!

I want some strawberries, and peaches, and raspberries.
Yum.

The last 2 weeks

Its been a long 2 weeks.
Last Monday I woke up with the morning sickness in full swing....

But not only was I nauseous and throwing up,
I had fever, chills, headache, achy body, etc.

I kept thinking, "this can't just be morning sickness"

So when Colby came home on Tuesday feeling sick too,
I was at least grateful that I had a cold/flu thing along with the morning sickness.

So that was a rough few days.
Really, really rough.

But then by the middle, end of that week, the other symptoms had left.

And I have been praying my little heart out that I wouldn't have bad morning sickness.

And thank goodness for blessings,
because ever since then, it hasn't been bad at all.

I have very slight nausea.
I am still pretty tired, but usually can take a nap during the day.

The worst thing right now is the food aversions.
I have had no cravings whatsoever.
And every food out there seems like an aversion.

There is just literally nothing in the world that sounds good.
So Ii am still trying to eat as much as possible, but its a battle.
Its hard to eat when nothing sounds or tastes good.
But I'm making it through.

Its slowly been getting better.
I keep praying that things don't go downhill!!

But I'll gladly take this over being sick all day long!
